“Fantastic place, away from the tourist traps.”
We found this place in a guide book and thought we would give it a go whilst on honeymoon. Upon arrival you are greeted incredibly warmly and are told to pick your own table! Brilliant! We chose a table on the edge of the room where there was a slight breeze. All above us were grape vines on trellis.
The table and chairs were rustic but comfy and the surroundings were charming. We were told that there was no menu and that, much the same as others have said, a Meze would be served. They told us that they change the ingredients in the meze every day and alternate things so that you could go back and never have the same menu twice! We were offered organic home produced wine which was very tasty. The food started to come out and we were given a whole home baked loaf which was incredibly Moorish! So tasty. This was served with dips and salad. As the evening wore on the dishes kept coming. Everything was very tasty and superbly explained to us. We carried on eating, trying everything that came out but not finishing it all. There is no way I could have polished the lot off and still been able to walk home! Finished the meal off with lemongrass tea which was perfect and refreshing after the big meal. The brothers who serve you are charming and so friendly. The cats are gorgeous too... we made friends with them all. We enjoyed the experience so much we made a return trip the night before we left to come home and were greeted again so warmly. And they recognised us which was heartwarming. Lovely place, superb food, glorious wine and great hosts. Will definitely be going back.
